Extreme Acai Berry Review

Editors’ Rating: 0/5
Average User Rating: 0/5

The good: None.

The bad: This product doesn’t even contain Acai. It’s like buying childrens’ chewable vitamins.

The bottom line: We believe in taking an Acai Berry supplement, but this product isn’t so ‘extreme’ after all. It’s not even Acai.

Price: $90 a month

What is Extreme Acai Berry?

Coming in last in Acai Berry supplements, this product was a disappointment. Our testers shared a 14-day trial supply. They noticed no energy boost or weight loss until 1 week had passed.

Our research tells us this Acai product, despite it’s ‘extreme’ name, has the weakest Acai extract of all the supplements out there. If you want to try Acai, keep in mind this product is not recommended.

ALWAYS read the terms and conditions kids. No matter how boring they seem, companies like this make a living out of this kind of scam because they tell you in the fine print what a rip off they are. I almost ordered this product. I had entered all my details and was about to hit ’send me my product’ when I noticed the terms and conditions link and read it. It had in point form everything from ‘you will be charged $86 as part of this offer after 14 days’ to ‘may not contain actual acai or acai extract’. They don’t have to tell you the truth anywhere else… just in that one tiny contract. TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Never sign up for anything without reading it! I’m glad I didn’t.

  3. Nicole on Nov 4th, 2009

DO NOT order the free trial. Its not free at all. I ordered the “free trial” and was only supposed to pay $5 to cover shipping. Before i even got the stuff they charged me $85 for the big bottle of the pills and sent it to me. I hadnt even gotten the free trial yet how would i know if i wanted more? anyways after it was all said and done they ended up taking $120 from me luckly i was able to take the problem to my bank and get my money back.

I Love this stuff!!! I lost 3 sizes in a matter of 3 months. I recommend this particular etreme acaiberry. I can’t wait to get some more.

  7. Wendy on May 15th, 2009

Go to your nearest GNC store and get it, that way you don’t have to worry about getting ripped off. If it doesn’t work then don’t buy it again. Never buy anything on line like this. GNC has a bunch of different Acai products to choose from.

Can you say “Class Action Lawsuit?”

  11. Kiara on Feb 3rd, 2009

*Not one of the ingredients listed on the bottle is even Acai (Dextrose, Vanilla Flavor, Wild Berry Flavor, Citric Acid, Carmine Color, Crospovidone NF, Magnesium, and Sucralose)! “Wild Berry Flavor” is as close as you’ll get. I took this mess, and was nauseous, and extremely bloated. When I stopped my stomach went back down. I feel like an idiot for taking “Sweet Tarts” as a diet supplement. On top of that. They automatically pass your ordering information (including credit card number), and enroll you in products with other companies, place you on auto-ship which should have been the first clue it didn’t work, and incorporate your shipping time as apart of your free 14 day trial. Which is a dirty trick they do not tell you when you order so they can charge your card before you know you’re being charged. If you have to make someone buy your product every month, it probably isn’t very effective. Not to mention how the website tries to make you believe their supplement is endorsed by Rachel Ray, ABC etc. When instead the actual Acai FRUIT that is what’s endorsed not their pills.

Whew! Glad I didn’t fall for this. I found a great deal, 60 caps of Sambazon Acai from iHerb.com for only $15.29 + $1.51 Priority Mail shipping. Read the great reviews before you buy.

Use discount code CEF362 and get $5 off your first purchase.

This product has not done a thing for me. After being charged 89.31 for the first bottle, I cancelled my order on 12/29 and then was sent another 1/5. When I called to explain I had already cancelled my order, they told me I was charged again 89.31 for the second bottle and that my cancelation was affective on 12/29 the day I cancelled. But would still not refund me. They didn’t even ship out the package until the 12/31. They won’t let me return the sealed unused bottle or refund my money. The person was rude and spoke over me the entire time. When I asked to speak to someone else he said there was no one else to help me. This is a total rip off. I am going to see if my credit card company will fight this.

I ORDER THIS PRODUCT ALSO AN WAS HIT WITH A CHARGE OF $29.95 FIRST CALLED THEN AN GOT THAT REMOVE… THEN A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER I WAS HIT WITH THE CHARGE OF $89. I DID GET SOMEONE ON THE PHONE AND I ASK FOR A REFUND AN THAY SAID NO REFUND SO I ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND THAY SAID THAT THAY WERE IN A MEETING SO I CANCEL MY DEBT CARD AND THE BANK IS WORKING ON IT. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Michelle on Jan 12th, 2009

I’m so pissed! How can we cancel our order. I will not put up with me getting a $90.00 charge on my card!!! That is ridiculous. These people will pay!!! It’s bullshit

  17. kiraly perfetti on Jan 10th, 2009

HUGE scam! Noone answers phone or it is busy if you try to cancel. My credit card was charged before I received the product for 88.62. Wrote the the “contact us” on webpage to tell them not to send more product. Received more product over a month after the first and credit card was charged $93. Could not get a number to send back product and when I finally got someone in a “live chat” he told me I could not return the product and I would not be getting my money back. Credit card backed them up so had to cancel my credit card to avoid more charges. Don’t order this!!!

  18. Kia on Jan 2nd, 2009

This experience has been a horrible ordeal. It is a SCAM!! I have charges on my account from 3 different companies for $89.95 Ectreme Acai Berry, $29.95 Fit-fac.com and $8.95 six apart. I didn’t sign up for all of that. I couldn’t even get through to cancel before the 14-day trial period was up. I’ve tried many different numbers. My bank won’t even help. They said that it’s too late. Save your money folks. The pill doesn’t even work.

  19. Sam W on Dec 21st, 2008

I decided not to go through with the website – I went to ebay and found a bottle for just a tad more and is working great. Sorry you all got scammed – see if your banks can work with ya on getting this money back. Print everything and anything that can help your case.

  20. Darlene on Dec 15th, 2008

ITS A SCAM….THEY SAY THAT YOU ONLY PAY SHIPPING….MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED 89.31 AND THEY SAY THAT IF YOU DON’T CANCEL WITHIN 14 DAYS YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED THAT AMOUNT EVERY MONTH. THE THING IS THERE IS NO SIGHT TO GO TO TO CANCEL FROM THESE BANDITS AND NO RETURN ADDRESS ON THE PACKAGE.

  21. Teresa S on Dec 13th, 2008

I ordered the extreme acai berry and was charged $ 89 after 2 weeks and didn’t even receive the trial bottle until week 3. How do you know you will even like it if you can’t even try it. I did reach a human to cancel;however, they say I have to get a tracking number from USPS to send it back and to get my account credited. The lady I talked to asked if I read the terms, well who can remember terms. When I asked her what the website address was, she said http://www.easypay.com. Well, it doesn’t exist for this product. From the looks of it they don’t have any more offers on Extreme Acai Berry, now they have Acai Berry Power 500.

  22. sam on Nov 16th, 2008

Have the patience of Jobe if you try to get through to customer service.

Other than the price, which is high. I have no problem with the product.

  23. Joann Mccarty on Nov 15th, 2008

I agree. The phone line is always busy and you can’t cancel. They need to be sued.

  24. Kay Smith on Nov 15th, 2008

This is a huge scam! You can not get through the number they provided to cancel the order. The line stays busy all the time so you can’t get through. Does anyone have a number to get through to and stop the 90.00 from being charged on my credit card?

    Kay Smith

  25. brittany on Nov 10th, 2008

I got the $3.95 trial and just got the $90 hit to my bank account. There is no way to get in to cancel your purchase. Its a scam.

  26. Beth Chandler on Oct 5th, 2008

This is a rip-off. They give you a “free” sample and then it’s an opt-out system. They’ll keep sending you a $90 supply until you call to cancel. Of course, the line is always busy so you can’t get through to cancel. Do not fall for this product.
